Cake Mix Cookies

I honestly don’t remember where I got this recipe. I found it way back when I had four young children, was extremely sleep deprived and didn’t have enough focus to bake anything other than Betty Crocker cakes and these super easy cookies. Sometimes, even remembering how many cups of flour you added is hard. I haven’t baked them in ages but I remember they were chewy and delicious!

Ingredients:

1 package Chocolate Fudge cake mix (I remember using regular chocolate cake and even vanilla, its all good.)

2 large eggs

1/2 cup butter (melted) I used oil sometimes too.

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup semisweet choc chips.

1/2 cup walnuts. (optional)s

Mix the chocolate chips and walnuts with a teaspoon of flour to prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the batter.

Directions:

I honestly don’t remember their being any precision in the directions, I’d pour the cake mix in a bowl,

Add the eggs, mix.

Add the butter, mix.

Add the sugared vanilla, mix.

Add the chocolate chips and walnuts and mix.

I’d preheat the oven to 180 Celsius.

Bake them for 4 minutes and turn the tray and bake for 3 more minutes.

You might need to let them sit on the tray for a minute because they will be too soft to move. But try to move them as soon as possible to wire rack or a glass surface, I think the glass also helps it cool. Thats what I used use before I bought a wire rack.

I’m renovating my kitchen at the moment and don’t have a place to bake. When I make this again I’ll update this inshallah.
