This is one of my mom’s many recipes.
Ingredients:
1 cup of milk + one stick of butter (100 grams unsalted). Warm together in the microwave or in a saucepan.
4-5 cups of flour (add gradually you might not need all the flour)
2 teaspoons of yeast (I like to dissolve them in a 1/2 cup of water and a teaspoon of sugar)
1/2 cup of sugar
2 eggs
For the butter spread:
1 stick of unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Mix together until smoothened combined.
Directions:
Add the flour and sugar to the mixing bowl
Add the yeast mixture while mixing.
Add the eggs one by one while mxing
Add the milk butter mixture while mixing
Add flour, 1 teaspoon at a time, if the doughs too sticky. I’ll post a video on Instagram to show you how you want the dough to be.
Let the dough rise.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
Spread with butter mixture.
Roll gently as tightly as you can without pressing it down.
Cut into slices
Place the slices in a buttered baking pan.
Cover with a clean towel and leave to rise.
Heat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Bake for 12-16 minutes. Depending on you your oven.
